Always more and better for the SBS on the highest level
Only a few days ago (August 17), we thought that we touched sublimity with the teamgold of REVEUR DE HURTEBISE (by Kashmir vh Schuttershof – breeder: S. Siraux in B-7060 Soignies) for France and teamsilver for BARRON (ex-UNDERGROUD DES HAUTS DROITS – by Mister Blue – breeder: M. Devos in B-6280 Acoz-Gerpinnes) and AZUR GARDEN’S HORSES – by Thunder van de Zuuthoeve – breeder: N. Beaufort in B-8600 Pervijze) for the USA.
But, we “ain’t see nothing yet”, because on August 19, ALL-IN (by Kashmir vh Schuttershof) and his Swedish rider Peder Fredericson transported and inflamed us!
At the start of the individual finals with 27 pairs to go, SBS was already very pleased to be the second best represented studbook, thanks to five SBS born representatives. Amongst them, ALL-IN didn’t touch any obstacle during the whole Olympic competition. He will also remain one of the six champions reaching the delicate jump-off with only 2 survivors : the brand new Olympic champion Big Star with Nick Skelton and … ALL-IN of course, now being an absolute star on the jumping scene and bringing Olympic silver to his rider and his adoptive country.
So, two sons of the great KASHMIR VAN SCHUTTERSHOF will be coming home from Rio with an individual medal to prove once again the quality of the genetic choices made by the SBS.
We will of course talk more about these horses, and lots of other ones. In good terms!!!
